IJOS has been co-sponsored by the following three institutions and entitled the official publication of the West China College of Stomatology, State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases Sichuan University (SKLOD) and the International College of Dentists (ICD) China section(ΧⅢ). With their support, IJOS operates at a high-level platform with definitive influence. Meanwhile, the editorial department in the College serves as the executive office of three major Chinese journals in stomatology, including West China Journal of Stomatology, one of the four “Chinese sci-tech core periodicals” in this field. With the help of the professionals and staffs in this department who have rich experience in publication editing and organization, IJOS is embracing a promising start.

 

    West China College of Stomatology, Sichuan University was found in 1907, which marked the beginning of modern dental education and training in China. During the past century, the College has won not only admirations of dental students and respects of dental professionals worldwide, but also the sincere friendship between her and many world-class dental colleges and institutions such as Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dental School in University of Toronto and so on. The college is progressing by leaps and bounds in dental education and academic research, which insures her top place in the national rankings of dental schools in consecutive 20 years.

 

    Supported by West China College of Stomatology, the State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases, Sichuan University (SKLOD) is the first and only state key lab on oral science researches in China. Occupying a 5600m² state-of-the-art building, the lab is hosted by the finest scholars and equipped with advanced facilities, which created a unique platform for innovative research and frontier investigation in oral science as well as related interdisciplinary fields.
